GTI MK7 Note 10+ Dock
thingiverse
This is a remix i managed to make from: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2992968 All credit goes to PhysiciSteve and his amazing work at making this model!! I managed to fumble my way through somewhat "learning" tinkercad to resize the space for my note 10+. I left a tad bit of wiggle room for it in my case which can be found here: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SX62YQ7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Unfortunately, the reliance of this model on a particular 90 degree usb c cable he mentions, no longer works. The cable I ended up getting, has a bulkier/longer barrel on it, and would not fit the slot of this model. I decided, rather than reprint, I just used a drill to open up the box a tad bit more going towards the cable path, as well as make the recess deeper to account for the shorter usb c connector on my particular cable. After I was happy with the fit and angle I had the usb c sitting, I used super glue to lock it in place. I then used gorilla double sided tape to secure the whole dock in place in my Cubby. Should the cable fail, the cable I bought, came in a 2 pack, and I will most likely modify the opening of the model to better fit this particular one. Cable I used is this one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MZ8RA3A/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 As PhysiciSteve did, I would like to provide the tinkercad file link of my model, so as if someone else were to be looking for the same thing for their particular phone as I was, they can do the same. Tinkercad Link: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/iWnLoqJgljQ One thing I would like to add. For some reason, the model I downloaded from Tinkercad had this odd "overhang" at the edge before the dock ramps down on the right side just before the angled "wall" is. I corrected this in Blender. So if you use my .stl you will be fine. If however, you modify the file on tinkercad, you may want to take a close look in that area. The last pic I added, I have the area circled in Blue.
