You can install GT2 pulleys on your Printrbot Simple by upgrading the motor mount to one designed specifically for larger diameters like mine here. This version was created with Google Sketchup and offers more clearance between bearings and greater vertical offset from the carriage that handles the Z-axis. When you install this new design, note that it's positioned on the right-hand side so as not to obstruct movement when leveling at zero-point by allowing a gap large enough for all the components without colliding. Nevertheless, be cautious about readjusting end stops because some tweaking may require additional modifications or carefully sanding down parts made from wood material due to slight misalignments that could impact overall print quality adversely until resolved properly. Use standard 608ZZ bearings commonly found in skateboard accessories and widely available for most fabrication tasks you might encounter.
