GT2 Timing Belt Any Length! Parametric!
thingiverse
This is an adjustable closed timing belt with variable tooth count. You can customize its length by selecting any number of teeth you prefer. To create this design, use Inventor 2018 and open the file. On the top ribbon, locate the "fx" icon in the center and click on it. Modify the "Teeth" parameter to your desired value and then select "done". The model will be rebuilt, allowing you to export a STL file for printing. The belt design is slightly thicker than a standard GT2 belt, ensuring accurate 3D printing results. Additionally, the teeth are slightly smaller but maintain the correct pitch, enabling smooth meshing with GT2 cogs. To print this design successfully, use a flexible material like NinjaFlex and set your printer to use a skirt instead of a brim. Also, adjust the starting point (or z-seam) to "shortest" to minimize pesky strings when the head moves.
