To enhance my printer's performance, I decided to create a more robust X Axis tensioner, using less material than previous designs. Currently, the pulley slot is slightly wide; however, adding 2-3 washers will resolve this issue while allowing for alignment adjustment. The tensioner utilizes 5-11-4 bearings (MR115ZZ or MF115ZZ fanged version) with a tight hole fitting, which is desirable. For assembly, print the design at 100% fill and drill two 11 mm holes if necessary. Insert an M4 nut into the buttress for tensioning purposes. Proceed with caution while drilling, ensuring both holes are cut at a 0-degree angle. After inserting the bearings, add a 5 mm rod (cut from a shanked 5 mm bolt), followed by the pulley and tightening of screws. This upgrade will result in enhanced print quality.
