The GT2 belt upgrades for the Printrbot Simple have encountered difficulty with the belt ends, according to adventurous users who attempted my product. I also face challenges in correctly fitting the belt, and dislike cutting it during each upgrade. Thus, a wedge was created to lock the belt without folding or cutting, making installs easier and preserving extra length for future enhancements. To use, interlace the belt teeth with the wedge notches before inserting into V-slot of belt tension blocks or ends. A 2014-03-25 revision introduced "GT2BeltWedgeNo1.stl," but it was deemed too flimsy, prompting a beefed-up version as "GT2BeltWedge.stl."
