Due to dissatisfaction with existing belt tensioner designs, I created my own solution that meets specific criteria. It needed to be compact, visually appealing, and user-friendly. By accomplishing these goals, I am confident in the result. To construct this tensioner, you require a thumb screw from another project: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16428; however, feel free to choose an alternative. The M3 (metric) nut and bolt are 20 mm in length. Notably, for the belt to fit within the retainer, I utilized a filament piece tailored to size.
