GT2 belt clip
thingiverse
To construct a Mini Kossel with an open belt, you must ensure a continuous loop by closing it. Key design considerations include holding force, high stiffness to minimize hysteresis, ease of installation, and excess belt length spillage. Following several iterations, I settled on this particular design, which includes SCAD for full parametric customization. The STL corresponds to a 6mm wide GT2 timing belt. Ensure belts cannot clip unless deforming the clip itself by using at least 50% infill. If teeth are squished, increase tooth_radius in the SCAD. For instructions, print the design and insert the tight-fitting belt. The repository is available at https://github.com/jcdoll/kossel.
