The GT200 is a hotly debated "remote substance detector" touted by its manufacturer, UK-based Global Technical Ltd, as capable of detecting from afar various substances including explosives and illicit drugs. The GT200 was sold to numerous countries for up to £22,000 per unit, but critics dismiss it as nothing more than "divining rods". Gary Bolton, owner of Global Technical, received a seven-year prison sentence.
