GT-2 pulley to Acme Rod
thingiverse
I designed a clamping device, similar to my Gates PowerGrip timing belt pulley, but optimized for use with a GT2 belt and a 1/2" 5-start Acme rod. The entire length of this component is threaded, which ensures a snug fit and helps maintain centering for the pulley. For my project, I couldn't rely on the little nut and bolt tensioner that many people use as a clamp for 3D printed objects, so I created a stronger clamping device. Although it requires more hardware and a longer housing, this design provides a much more secure connection. The file GT2 to Acme2.sti replaces the previous one with an error; in the earlier version, the Acme thread only extended halfway. This part was created using Tinkercad.
