Two-stage worm gear ratio: 1485. Design calculations indicate that at motor RPMs of n1 = 1485 and motor torque T1 = 0.034 Nm, the resulting output torque is T2 = 14 Nm, not a mere 50.49 Nm (0.034 x 1485). Calculations further reveal that when n1 = 1485 RPM and T1 = 0.034 Nm, the output shaft rotates at 1 RPM with an accompanying torque of 13.97 Nm. When n1 = 500 RPM and T1 = 0.0425 Nm, the output shaft slows to 0.34 RPM while producing a torque of 17.13 Nm. Likewise, when n1 = 80 RPM and T1 = 0.052 Nm, the output shaft rotates at a mere 0.05 RPM with a resulting torque of 20.96 Nm. However, when n1 = 1 RPM and T1 = 0.053 Nm, the output shaft comes to a standstill (n2 = 0 RPM) while still managing a respectable torque output of 21.38 Nm. Under normal operating conditions, with the motor shaft rotating at 1485 RPM, the output shaft rotates through an angle of 360 degrees per minute or one full rotation per minute. Over a period of three seconds, the output shaft would have rotated through an angle of (360/60) x 3 = 18 degrees.
