The objective was successfully met using a combination of three planetary gears featuring a fixed 50 teeth inner ring, 18 teeth planet, and 14 teeth sun gears, yielding a step-down ratio of precisely 4.57. The sun gear of one stage is connected directly to a carriage that's linked to the planets in the second stage. Additional reduction is achieved by employing spur gears with 63, 18, and 10 teeth. Calculating the total ratio gives us 601.3. Assuming an input motor speed of 600 RPM and efficiency rates of 96% for each stage plus a motor efficiency of 98%, we arrive at an output torque of 20.5 Nm at 1 RPM. Design Excellence is showcased in several key areas: (1) All parts, including gears, carriages, and the gearbox cover, can be manufactured from MD FILLED NYLON 6.2. (2) Each gear is a spur gear with a 1mm module for optimal performance. (3) The entire system is assembled in the Z-direction for precision. (4) Gears are securely mounted on bearings and bushings to ensure alignment, prevent frictional losses, and guarantee a long service life. (5) MD FILLED NYLON 6 gears operate without lubrication, exhibit minimal moisture absorption and dimensional changes of less than 0.05%, and provide a smooth operational status. (6) Shafts are securely fastened to their respective parts using set screws and retaining rings. (7) The gearbox can be easily replaced in the event of failure, ensuring minimal downtime. (8) Overhauling or replacing parts is hassle-free. (9) The system remains compact, fitting neatly within its design envelope with ample space left for electronic boards and other accessories to be integrated seamlessly.
