The OV-1D Mohawk was a twin turboprop, high wing configuration aircraft designed by Grumman for the US Army's observation purposes with light strike capabilities. It featured a side-by-side cockpit arrangement with a bubble canopy for an excellent field of view and was built to operate from short, rough landing fields. With 380 Mohawks produced between 1959 and 1969, it replaced the Cessna L-19 Bird Dog in the Army's fleet. Variants included FLIR, SLAR, armed versions, and emergency supply drop models. This versatile aircraft served as an observation tool, close air support, artillery spotter, photo reconnaissance device, and more before being cancelled in 1970 post-Vietnam service. The model features animated ailerons, flaps, propellers, elevator, rudder, canopy opening, retractable landing gear and doors, and is available in multiple formats for download with all textures and materials provided.
