cgtrader
The OV-1D Mohawk was a twin turboprop high wing aircraft designed by Grumman for the US Army. It featured armed observation capabilities and light strike functions, with two crew members seated side-by-side in a bubble canopy for optimal visibility. Intended for short, rough landing fields, it replaced the Cessna L-19 Bird Dog in service. Produced from 1959 to 1969, variations included FLIR and SLAR versions, armed models, and emergency supply drop pods. Versatile in roles such as observation, close air support, artillery spotting, and photo reconnaissance, the Mohawk was ultimately cancelled in 1970 after serving in Vietnam. This detailed model comes with animated features like ailerons, flaps, propellers, elevator, rudder, openable canopy, retractable landing gear and doors, and is available for download in multiple formats with all textures and materials provided.
