The OV-1D Mohawk was a twin turboprop, high wing configuration aircraft developed by Grumman for the US Army. Designed to observe battlefields and strike lightly, it featured a side-by-side cockpit with a bubble canopy for enhanced visibility. Operating from short, unimproved landing fields, this aircraft replaced and outperformed Cessna L-19 Bird Dog. The Mohawk's variants included FLIR and SLAR versions, armed versions, and emergency supply drop versions. Serving in observation, close air support, artillery spotting, photo reconnaissance roles, the Mohawk was canceled in 1970 after its distinguished service in Vietnam. This model boasts animated features like ailerons, flaps, propellers, elevator, rudder, and retractable landing gear and doors. The canopy is openable, and it comes in various formats for immediate downloading with all textures and materials included.
