The OV-1D Mohawk was a twin turboprop high wing aircraft developed by Grumman for the US Army, featuring armed observation capabilities and light strike functions. Designed to operate from short, rough landing fields, it replaced the Cessna L-19 Bird Dog in 1959 after its first flight. A total of 380 Mohawks were produced between 1959 and 1969, with variants including FLIR and SLAR versions, armed options, and emergency supply drop capabilities. Serving various roles like observation, close air support, artillery spotting, and photo reconnaissance, the Mohawk was eventually cancelled in 1970 post-Vietnam service. This near-scale model boasts animated features, a functional canopy, retractable landing gear, and is available for download in multiple formats with all textures and materials provided.
