The OV-1D Mohawk is a near-scale, fully textured model featuring animated elements such as ailerons, flaps, elevator, rudder, opening canopy, and moving propellers. The landing gear and doors are retractable, while multiple download formats and all necessary textures/materials are provided for your use. Originally designed by Grumman for the US Army, the twin-turboprop high-wing aircraft aimed to replace the Cessna L-19 Bird Dog in observing battlefields and providing light strike capabilities. Operating from short, rough landing fields, it boasted a side-by-side cockpit with a bubble canopy for enhanced visibility. Produced between 1959 and 1969, the Mohawk had several variants including FLIR, SLAR, armed, and emergency supply-dropping versions. It excelled in observation, close air support, artillery spotting, photo reconnaissance, and more before its cancellation in 1970 after serving valiantly in Vietnam.
