The Panther model, built almost to scale, features complete texturing and animatable elements such as ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevators, main and tail landing gear, and doors. The detailed cockpit is visible from the outside. Available in various formats, this model represents the F9F Panther, a successful US Navy daytime carrier-based single-engine straight-winged jet fighter. Widely employed by the US Navy and Marine Corps during the Korean War, it also served as the first jet aircraft for the Blue Angels flight team. The F9F-5 variant featured an extended fuselage for increased fuel capacity but retained the same J48 engine as the F9F-4 version.
