Color Scheme: Pilot - CO of VMF-224 Maj.Robert E.Galer. Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands, September-October 1942. OVERVIEW - The Grumman F4F Wildcat is an American fighter plane built for carrier-based missions that began service in 1940 with the United States Navy and the British Royal Navy, where it was initially called the Martlet. First used in combat by the British in the North Atlantic, the Wildcat was the only effective fighter available to the United States Navy and Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater during the early part of World War II in 1941 and 1942. 3D MODEL GENERAL INFO -The model is created based on precise blueprints, authentic photos, and detailed historical documentation. Built with precision and attention to detail, it is a faithful digital reproduction of the original. The object has been modeled using Lightwave software and finished and texturized in 3DCoat, maintaining exact units of measurement. Detailed Cockpit INCLUDED. LIGHTWAVE and BLENDER- The scene contains the model with uv materials assigned and a basic setup to control each movable part, such as ailerons, rudder, elevators, propeller, cockpit hood, and landing gears. Movable parts can be manipulated within this setup for further modification. OBJ and FBX - To animate the airplane, it's necessary to create your own animation setup based on your 3D software preferences. OBJ and FBX files require reassignment of uv textures when opening them in different software programs, due to the subdivision into various parts with unique uv maps. UV TEXTURE LIST: Cockpit: color, ambient occlusion, metalness, normal, roughness, specular (8K textures) Engine: color, ambient occlusion, metalness, normal, roughness, specular (4K textures) Fuselage: color, ambient occlusion, metalness, normal, roughness, specular (8K textures) Landing gear: color, ambient occlusion, metalness, normal, roughness, specular (2K textures) Parts: color, ambient occlusion, metalness, normal, roughness, specular (2K textures) Rivets: color, ambient occlusion, metalness, normal, roughness, specular (4K textures) Wings: color, ambient occlusion, metalness, normal, roughness, specular (8K textures) A total of 42 uv texture maps are available for this model. The transparency map for the hood windows is stored in the alpha channel of fuselage color map. Avoid using the provided ambient occlusion due to its fixed position with moving parts set at zero degrees. If animation requires movement of the ailerons, rudders, and other movable parts, reapply ambient occlusion via your 3D software. For any concerns or questions regarding this model, feel free to ask, as assistance is available at all times.
