This highly detailed model is built near to scale and comes with full textures, featuring animateable leading edge wing slats, flaps, stabilizers, rudders, turbines, canopy open/close, landing gear extend, landing gear doors, wheels, and cockpit controls. It includes a modeled cockpit, controls, turbines, engine exhaust, and more. The model is available in 10 different formats, with animated cockpit canopy opening. Models with squadron liveries include sidewinder, sparrow, and Maverick missiles, pylons, and additional textures. Three liveries are provided: 1970s bright colorful schemes, 1980s subdued color schemes, and 1990s drab paint schemes, all from a single identified squadron. A high poly (HP) version with reduced details is also available, with polygon count of 139,909 and vertices count of 75,708. The very high poly (VHP) version includes landing gear, landing gear doors, and extensive cockpit detail, with a polygon count of 261,051 and vertices count of 139,761. A bare metal version is also available without missiles, missile launch pylons or fairings for customizing paint liveries. The Grumman F-14D Tomcat is a supersonic, twin-engine, variable sweep-wing, two-place strike fighter equipped with F110-GE-400 engines, new radar, and avionics systems. The first production F-14D was flown on February 9th, 1990, and can carry short, medium, and long-range air-to-air missiles (AIM-9, AIM-7, AIM-54) as well as air-to-ground ordnance such as the Rockeye bomb and CBU cluster bombs.
