A durable substitute for the easily breakable acrylic Z motor gear/pulley is available. My initial acrylic gear shattered within a few days, leading me to use a friction-fit replacement that eventually became loose. To fix this issue, I designed a version that can be securely tightened onto the motor shaft using one of the grub screws from the installed corner replacements (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4398).
