The Grove I2C Hub is a compact interface that allows multiple Grove modules to communicate with each other and with the main board via I2C protocol. This hub can act as a master or slave device on the bus, depending on how it's connected. It has 8 slots for connecting up to 8 Grove modules in daisy chain fashion. Each module is assigned a unique address, which allows the microcontroller to identify and communicate with specific devices on the bus. The hub supports both 7-bit and 10-bit addresses, giving you flexibility when assigning addresses to your modules. The Grove I2C Hub is powered by the main board's 3.3V or 5V rail, depending on how it's configured. This means you don't need an additional power source for the hub itself. To use the Grove I2C Hub, simply connect your modules to the hub using Grove cables and then connect the hub to the main board. The microcontroller can then communicate with each module individually using its unique address. The Grove I2C Hub is a convenient and efficient way to expand the capabilities of your project by adding multiple Grove modules to the bus.
