GroupHex : An Organizable Organizer
thingiverse
Presenting HexoMold, a modular assembler that can be rearranged into various shapes across three dimensions. HexoMold is an advancement of the widespread Honeycomb layout or the hexagon-patterned organizer. Stepping beyond a rigid format (like: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1092812), I designed HexoMold with 3 objectives in mind: It must be relatively fast to manufacture, It should be expandable and entertaining. \nHexoMold comes in four variations: Compact, Standard, Extended and Extra Large. There are 5 grooves and 4 ridges on the six sides of the hexagon. These allow HexoMold units to be connected together at different relative heights, enabling users to create their own one-of-a-kind Assembler, unique from anyone else's. There is another groove at the bottom of each unit allowing even greater flexibility in connecting units in Horizontal and Vertical Orientations.
