myminifactory
Ancient Greek masterpiece from the end of the fourth century BC. Unearthed in the Horti Lamiani, this stunning piece now resides in Piazza Dante, where it was discovered in 1907. The two young women captured in this artwork are fully engaged in a traditional ancient game known as ephedrismós, which involved players taking aim at a target on the ground with rocks or balls; the losing player would be carried by the winner, who covered their eyes, until they reached the target with one foot.
