Small Groundplane for 70cm Amateur Radio. The perfect holder for your IKEA IVAR shelf is here! We've got two versions of this amazing groundplane: one that's a whopping 90mm long, and the other that's even longer at 150mm (check out the pictures to see them in action). Don't forget you'll need a BNC connector to get started. Use a high-quality 2.5mm² cable (just like the pros use for electro installations) with about 14.5cm of length (enough for all five wires). The SWR will be under 1:1,2 between 430-440MHz (that's the German HAM Radio Band, folks!). Building this groundplane is a breeze - just solder one of the wires to the BNC connector, and crimp the other four to a small ring cable lug. To connect the four radials to the BNC Connector, use an M3x16mm screw (see the pictures for inspiration). That's it! Now you can enjoy 73 and a clear signal on your 70cm Amateur Radio.
