<p>This is modification to Decathlon MH500 low camping chair.</p> <p>"DECATHLON MH500 LOW CHAIR"</p> <ul> <li>is low cost 35EUR camping/hiking chair from decathlon.</li> <li>weight as bought 1102g</li> <li>product concept = light aluminum tube frame + hanging fabric sitting surface.</li> </ul> <p>"GROUND CHAIR 500"</p> <ul> <li>is modification of Decathlon MH500</li> <li>New corners are 3D printed.</li> <li>Tubes are re-assembled into different configuration.</li> <li>The same fabric is reused.</li> </ul> <p>(inspired by "helinox ground chair" concept, which is ~120EUR camping chair).</p> <p>Ground Chair 500 is improved over Decathlon:</p> <ul> <li>weight 0.89kg vs 1.1kg</li> <li>lower position - can sit even inside tent</li> <li>no pointy legs - can place on tent floor or loose sand</li> <li>works comfortably on slope (even better than on flat)</li> </ul> <h3>Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Supports:</strong></p> <p>No</p> <p><strong>Filament:</strong></p> generic PETG,PLA <p><br/> <p class="detail-setting notes"><strong>Notes: </strong></p> </p><div><p>There are 4 STLs to print - one for each corner. (FR = front right...). </p> Printed in PLA and PETG, at 0.3mm layer, using 4 perimiters (2mm wall) and 20% infill. <p>Set of 4 corners weight around 140g.</p> <p>I found this pipe layout, sleeve depth, corner size optimal for myself.</p> <p>Both in PLA and PETG was sufficient for holding my weight and not breaking during normal use.</p> <p>I have not done durability test (repetive stress may cause failure).</p> <p>I have not done impact test (banging on stone may break corner).</p> <p>Or tested how much abuse they can withstand (like jumping or testing strengh upside down).</p> </div> Category: Sport & Outdoors
