Groudon (Remeshed, Fixed, Reduced)
thingiverse
I'm working with a revised version of JacobVe's Groudon - an incredible model with some key tweaks for ease of use. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the models weren't a seamless mesh. To address this, I implemented several changes. Firstly, each model was rebuilt as a single, cohesive manifold mesh. This improvement eliminated potential issues. Secondly, I identified and fixed problems with the hands' mesh errors, which were likely caused by the OBJ to STL conversion process. By doing so, the model's integrity was preserved. The revised version boasts a significantly reduced file size - now standing at 21MB compared to the original 154MB. This optimization makes it much easier to work with. Additionally, I separated the Legs to provide greater versatility and control. All in all, this revised model is an outstanding achievement that maintains the essence of JacobVe's original design while offering a more streamlined experience. Kudos to JacobVe for sharing this amazing model, and I'm excited to see it take shape in 3D print form.
