Hello fellow makers, Printers Unite is thrilled to share an exciting new creation, a Groot lamp! Check out my YouTube Channel for updates: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIdU7UtkdshhI-B_kbkOrYQ Be sure to check out the original Thing on my page; I'm really proud of it. The model with no right arm is the mark I, but I had a different plan in mind for it - still, it looks great just as it is. The Groot combined file doesn't include the box, which was an add-on. Here are the Print Settings: Printer: CTC black plywood model dual extruder Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 10% Notes: For a great print, print at slowest speeds for the Groot model; the box, rails, and door aren't that important. Post-Printing A minor issue arose There was a small problem with the jaw part, but it's actually quite charming. The mark I version had this problem, whereas the mark II (Groot_Combined) has support under the chin. To code for the Arduino software, use the free arduino software to modify the example fading code strand and the starter kit example project 2, spaceship interface. This will help you understand how to wire it up. How I Designed This A little inspiration can go a long way I got this idea about five months ago, but only started modeling and printing it when I thought it couldn't work until the GCC 3d printing competition came along - now I'm rushing to finish it before the deadline.
