Gromm Hitch

This little grommet combo of a stackers and a lever has been cooked up with (free) lead rope soloing in mind and is currently the fastest method for dealing with backfeeding. Who knows? Maybe one glorious day a carabiner manufacturer might decide to incorporate a friction mechanism into the spine of a standard carabiner but until then, your only other options are knots, rubber bands, bread clips, etc. 100% knots and hitches are the most reliable method for dealing with back feeding. For aid climbing and easy terrain this should be everyones go to method everytime. However, when the sequences get harder nobody wants to be hanging around and dealing with this nonsense. Enter the myriad of home spun weird solutions that are either combersome, bulky, likely to break then pollute the environment, make you look deranged or all of the above. Don't deal with it, give the Gromm Hitch a crack. Check out the Gromm Hitch "User Manual" on the Arctic Bastards youtube channel to get a better idea of how to install and use this product. Check out @arcticbastards on Instagram to see these things in their native environment - i.e Norwegian crags
