I redesigned the Grohe 28637XX0 Coupler to improve its functionality and user experience. My shower hose was leaking, making it nearly impossible to remove the original coupler from the hose. The Allen key kept slipping as the material around it expanded, requiring me to use another pair of pliers to grip along the circular "skirt." Unfortunately, this resulted in cosmetic damage to the coupler. Further inspection revealed that the area supporting the Allen key was a small section near the front, causing the material to expand around it. To address these issues, I implemented two design improvements: 1) I extended the hex hole throughout the entire length of the coupler for added support; and 2) in case users don't have the correct Allen key, I replaced the "skirt" with a Hex nut support. If users are unable to find an 'O' ring, they can use plumber's PTFE white tape to wrap around the 'O' ring area. Approximately 15mm diameter of tape should be sufficient. To generate the threads, I utilized the TSM Generic Thread Generator by Tyler Montbriand in 2019, available at http://burningsmell.org/3d/lib/tsmthread/tsmthread4.scad.
