In the mining and quarrying sectors, a grizzly is commonly utilized equipment. After being discharged by an LHD/dump truck or loader, the load settles on the grizzly. The primary function of the grizzly is to let smaller, required-sized material pass through its grid while retaining oversized pieces. Manual labour, hydraulic rock breakers, or crushing machines are then used for breaking down the oversized materials. Although this method may not be the most efficient way to separate oversized material from the required material, it is widely adopted around the world. Grizzly designs do not incorporate side plates to prevent spillages.
