I just got my hands on a shiny new Grizzly G1023R Tablesaw and I am thoroughly impressed with its design. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed that the saw fence rails have open ends, which caught my attention right away. Determined to add an extra touch of elegance to this already stunning machine, I decided to create custom plastic filler plugs for the fence rail. Not only do these plugs make the saw look more polished, but they also protect the square tubes from rust and debris that can accumulate over time. I designed my filler plugs with a specific purpose in mind: to fit snugly into the 69 mm x 39 mm opening of the square tubing used by Shop Fox fence. Since I believe all Grizzly G1023R saws use the same fence, these plugs will be compatible with multiple machines. To secure the plugs in place, simply tap them gently with a rubber mallet, as shown in the photos. My own filler plugs fit perfectly without any trimming or sanding required.
