Grist Mill
thingiverse
Here is a simple grist mill design I came up with. I've separated the trough into its own file, which helps minimize the need for support structures. To assemble the mill, simply attach the trough to the top back edge of the wall where the wheel would normally sit. Next, insert the pin into the hole on the side of the building and then slide the wheel onto it. Finally, glue the end cap onto the pin. The wheel must spin freely with its paddles angled upwards. You'll also need a compact recirculating pump that can fit inside the trough behind the mill's structure. Connect one end of the outlet hose from the pump to the connector located at the back of the trough above the wheel. Depending on the type of filament you're using, it's a good idea to paint the entire structure first to ensure water resistance. Once that's done, fill the pond with water.
