What it isA grip thickening device for pencils, anything alike and finger controlled tools. It gives a stable grip and stimulates the correct finger position. What to printThere are two versions, one for round and one for hexagonal items. The diameter of the pen/pencil/tool must be measured and both parts of the gripping aid scaled accordingly. The default is a diameter of 10mm. → To get the correct scaling factor simply calculate:( [your desired diameter in mm] + [typical clearance] ) * 10Example: Stabilo pen with a diameter of 7.8mm(7.8mm + 0.2mm) * 10 = 80% applied to grip and collet partHow to printRecommended for printing is a 0.2 mm layer height and a 0.4mm nozzle or finer. The versions in the pictures are printed with these settings in PETG.How to assembleSlide the collet piece over the pencil, then the gripping body. At your desired position, screw them together till the assembly sits firmly. It may be possible to interchangeably use any version for the other types of pencils - even triangular ones - but I have not tried it and that may lead to marks left on the pencil. What nextThere may be improvements, modifications and deletions based on feedback given here.Maybe, take a look at my other designs ;-)
