Gripper Thumb - West African Edition
thingiverse
We're launching the West African edition of the gripper thumb, brought to life by Ed Choi's concept and Albert Fung's design, with a special thanks to Dick Cho for his contributions. This new release coincides perfectly with the NEMAKEATHON event in Yola, Nigeria, and our goal is to see 3D printing and innovation flourish in West Africa, ultimately expanding healthcare access to those who need it most. The West African edition combines functionality with a stylish design, featuring a voluntary-opening terminal device that relies on rubber bands. When all fingers are separated, it's completely compatible with gloves! Give it a try by printing one out - just like the original gripper thumb, it requires a standard M12 bolt. This remix draws inspiration from several notable terminal devices: Gripper thumb - brought to you by Skip Meetze and MacGyvrBot Fist Hand - designed by Mike Li of the Hong Kong Maker Club
