Gripper Talon
thingiverse
Update 10/30/18 This remix of Skip Meetze's Gripper Hand incorporates a rack and pinion thumb actuation that translates a circular motion into a straight one, compressing a flexible filament "spring" like TPU or Ninjaflex. PLA is suitable for all other parts. This terminal device screws into a gauntlet or complete forearm as needed. Note: Files were updated on 3/31 to make minor alterations and ensure better fits. Note: The spring has been improved with a better action and wider range, as noted in miscellaneous notes. Note: On 9/2/18, the thumb was updated with a mount for installing a flexible pencil strap. This is particularly useful for pens, utensils, and other items that might be difficult to hold with spring pressure. This project was created using Tinkercad.
