Grip Layer for Soft Robot Gripper

Grip Layer for Soft Robot Gripper

thingiverse

After crafting hahvahdsquah's Soft Robot Gripper at Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:66883) and reading about Soft Robotics for Chemists (http://gmwgroup.harvard.edu/pubs/pdf/1112.pdf), I was inspired to improve hahvahdsquah's design by adding an extra layer to the gripper, giving it more grip. To follow these steps: Visit this Instructable at http://www.instructables.com/id/Air-Powered-Soft-Robotic-Gripper/?ALLSTEPS. At step one, print either of my molds that fits with your main gripper mold. Pour the silicone mix into the mold between steps three and four, skipping right over step four. On step nine, apply some silicone to the flat side of the molded product, then press it onto the open side of the gripper, letting it cure as instructed.
