Grinding/Sanding Attachment Guide similar to Dremel
thingiverse
This is based on the Dremel Attachment for Sanding & Grinding, designed entirely from scratch using Sketchup. The inner ring was drawn from a previously created thingiverse design - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:678471 - which initially had manifold issues, but were corrected using a free service offered by Microsoft - https://netfabb.azurewebsites.net/index.php, resulting in a manifold upload. The main attachment was also designed in Sketchup and is compatible with standard Dremel or Ozito Rotary Tool necks. The design includes both straight edge and 45-degree sanding/grinding capabilities. Attached are the build plate and main attachment Sketchup model files. Notably, the outer main module has been updated to correct its size and shape, reducing the dimensions of the sanding/grinding area from overly large and tall to perfectly proportioned in the new file - OuterFinalSmall.stl. This design has been thoroughly tested in a real-world application by NCHippy, with a Youtube video showcasing its use: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcD584ighqA Print Settings: Printer: Geeetech Full Metal Aluminum Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: Due to the precisely angled design, supports are not necessary. Post-Printing: The collar may initially be a bit tight but will loosen with use. To assemble, screw on the collar and then attach the main unit using a screw and nut for tightening. It is crucial to wear eye protection while operating this device. Design Overview: The entire model was designed from scratch in Sketchup, reflecting my commitment to creating innovative and functional 3D printed solutions.
