Grinder with swappable system

Grinder with swappable system

I recently designed a versatile hot end that can be swapped out with the grinder found at this link https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3547740. This hot end allows for easy placement of the grinder on top. I deliberately positioned the female version of the D sub connector on the tool side to ensure it fits securely, as mixed male versions often don't fit properly. The drill holder is specifically designed for the RS PRO 398D PCB Drill https://nl.rs-online.com/web/p/miniature-power-drills/0547616, which can be purchased for under €30. This grinder operates at 12V, matching the voltage of the part end fan used to control it, so you won't need to manually enable the drill. Simply send M106 and M107 commands to activate or deactivate the grinder. I've also uploaded a 2020 T-slot plate https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3641151, which is an ideal build plate for milling, drilling, or grinding projects with your printer.
