The consumable end should be printed with a high infill percentage (50-60%) and a substantial shell thickness to prevent stripping of the actual contact points. A 3.2mm shell thickness is recommended, which has proven effective so far. The consumable end will eventually wear out despite precautions, hence the term "consumable" and easily replaceable. The main bit should be printed on its side to counteract sheering forces that move with the layer's plane, preventing the bit from tearing in half mid-grind. M3 (3mm) hardware is used for this project. Nuts are M3 .5, and 12 mm length is recommended due to availability of materials. The nuts are countersunk using a soldering iron.
