The Light model fits snugly into the small recess in the side wall behind each pilot. To achieve successful printing, some careful supports are required due to the tube feeding into it extending beyond the main housing. I also added a few small supports under the recess designed for the obscure lens. Although printed at a layer height of 1.2 mm, the surface clearly displays the layers. If used in my cockpit, I would apply high-build filler paint with a final semi-matt black topcoat. Two options are available: one with the main body as a single piece and another split into two halves, featuring a separate bezel. However, this second option remains untested. This design was created at the request of a fellow member on the cockpitbuilders forum. The images showcase my first test print. A front lens made from 2 mm thick opal acrylic is also required. Lighting options are up to the builder's discretion; I suggest a small COB LED panel or several LED strips for decent illumination.
