Grille Inserts for Bittydesign Destroyer RC Body

These are optional 3D front grille inserts for the Bittydesign Destroyer body. This body is an unlicensed replica of Ken Block's Hoonicorn Mustang. I have included 3 versions of this grille insert: Hoonicorn version: similar to the actual Hoonicorn, with a mesh grille, the pony logo in the middle, and no other trim. '65 Mustang version: based on a stock 1965 Mustang, with a mesh grille, pony logo, the "corral" trim around the pony, and horizontal and vertical bars '66 Mustang version: based on a stock 1966 Mustang, with a horizontal wire grille, pony logo, and "corral" trim around the pony. I recommend printing in black PLA at 0.1mm resolution. In a pinch, 0.2mm is fine, but the surface of the pony logo will look a bit rougher. If you want the pony logo and trim to look like chrome, pause the print at 40% and change the filament to silver. To install the grille insert on the body, there are three methods you can use: 1. Double-sided tape. Scotch Extreme Mounting Tape (the dark grey stuff with the red backing) is probably the best option for this, as it's strong but not too thick. 2. CA glue or epoxy. Be sure to remove the original grille sticker first, as glue won't stick to its surface. 3. More complex but extra strong method: drill two or more holes in the body behind the grille (alignment isn't critical, but there should be one near each end of the grille), install the insert, and apply CA glue or epoxy from the inside of the body, forming essentially a plastic rivet that physically holds it in place. Note that the grille inserts print flat, but will need to be curved slightly to fit the shape of the grille. They are thin enough to bend easily, so whatever method you use to attach it should hold the grille in the correct curve. It is possible to use a heat gun to soften it and bend it slightly so it holds the shape by itself, but it's very easy to overheat it and cause it to warp so it no longer fits the grille opening correctly, so use caution. R.I.P. Ken Block
