Quick Release Hard Bed Mounts for the Griffin 3D Xl Printer. Print three of each. Remove the FSR and FSR controller; the glass must be mounted flush. This requires an appropriate probe based on your model or effector. If you have a J-Head, use the 1.3 probe; if you have an E3D Effector (2), use the corresponding probe. You will need to insert four new T-nuts into each upper rail, two per side. Using drop-ins is easy, but they tend to come loose when using this system. Bolt the plates to the upper rails one per side, using only the hole furthest from the plate. Do not tighten down yet. Set the clamp on top of the hole closest to the glass, insert an O-ring into the clamp hole, and then insert the bolt. The O-ring acts as a spring. Slide the assembly up to the glass and tighten the bolt furthest from the glass snugly but only loosely tighten the clamp. You should be able to twist the clamp by hand to release the glass but keep it tight enough to hold the glass down. Never transport an XL with the glass in place. Parts Required: 6x 5mm I.D. O-rings (Keycap O-rings for mechanical keyboards work) 6x M5 T-nuts 6x M5 x 10mm Pan Head or Flat Head Bolts (These have a tapered head); I prefer hex. While tested, these are marked Work in Progress due to lack of documentation and support. These are uploaded as Creative Commons - Attribution; you can do what you want, but give credit.
