Quick release hard bed mounts designed specifically for the Griffin 3D mini and mid-size printer. To produce six units of each model, follow these steps: First, remove the FSR (Force Sensitive Resistor) and FSR controller from the assembly. This is necessary to ensure the glass is mounted flush, which in turn requires an appropriate probe based on your specific model or effector type. If you're using a J-head, opt for the 1.3 probe, whereas if you have an E3D effector (model 2), choose the corresponding probe. Insert four new T-nuts into each upper rail, two per side. For ease of installation, consider using drop-ins; however, be aware that they may come loose under this system's stress. Next, bolt the plates to the upper rails, one per side, with the lower section nearest the glass. Secure them by using only the hole furthest from the plate, but refrain from tightening it yet. Place a clamp on top of the hole closest to the glass and insert an O-ring into its corresponding hole. Then, insert the bolt. The O-ring serves as a spring mechanism. Slide the assembly up to the glass, then tighten the bolt farthest from the glass until snug. However, only partially secure the clamp by hand, allowing it to be twisted to release the glass while still maintaining enough tension to hold it in place. Required components: 6x 5mm I.D. O-rings (keycap O-rings for mechanical keyboards are suitable alternatives) 6x M5 T-nuts 6x M5 x 10mm pan-head or flat-head bolts, preferably with a hexagonal head Although these mounts have been tested, they're marked as "work in progress" due to the lack of documentation and support.
