My first (and hopefully not last) finished model in Blender after 1 year of intense learning (I've known Blender for 5 years now, but it took me a whole year to really commit to mastering it). I'm still moving at a pretty slow pace, but I think I'm improving. I do have some lingering texture artifacts that I'm not sure will show up in this post, though. To get started with animating my models (finally!), I plan on using this model for some test runs. I might also revisit the texture to add more details later, but for now, I just wanted a rough, finished product. Initially, I tried sculpting the rough shape, but soon found myself retopologizing and moving over to polygonal editing - it's what I'm most comfortable with, but I hope to get better at sculpting in time. If you've got any tips on how to improve this model or my skills, feel free to leave a comment!
