I assume it will work with different Gretsch models and possibly different brands. I designed it to be lower profile than the stock one so it was less in my way. Had to use pliers to screw it on to the switch initially to tap the switch hole but its fine for me after a couple of passes. Recommend fuzzy skin for a more consistent finish and reduce visibility of any tool marks left by initial tapping
