Gretchin Horde!
thingiverse
Gretchin and Grotz are fundamentally smaller subspecies of Orks, marked by cowardice that surpasses even the typical Ork's lack of bravery, often utilized as living barriers to clear minefields, trampled upon to navigate difficult terrain, and occasionally employed as emergency rations. In the strict hierarchy of Ork society, Gretchin hold a relatively low position due to their diminutive size (ranking below Snotlings in the pecking order) and are frequently tasked with the most menial jobs such as scavenging and serving as playthings for bored Orks. Despite their relatively pacifistic nature compared to standard Orks, Gretchin derive a twisted sense of satisfaction from engaging weaker opponents and are less likely to flee if they outnumber their adversaries comfortably. A wealthy Gretchin may purchase a second-hand, worn-down firearm, which serves primarily as a psychological crutch, reassuring them that they possess the capability to inflict harm, provided they can recall how to properly hold the weapon. Even then, Gretchins require coercion into battle by Runtherds who utilize grabba sticks to ensure their participation. A skilled Runtherd can swiftly seize a fleeing Gretchin and hurl him into a minefield with a single fluid motion. The more technologically inclined Runtherds employ grot prods, which deliver an electrical charge to the Gretchin's vulnerable areas. In essence, all Gretchins function as slaves for Orks, although a faction of revolutionary Rebel Grots has emerged in the chaos of Gorkamorka. Due to their relatively higher level of organization compared to larger Orks, Gretchins are often tasked with maintaining Greenskin war machines and artillery. This work is widely regarded as undesirable among Orks, as it prevents them from being at the forefront of battle. Gretchins also serve as attendants or "ammo runts" to Warbosses, assistants to Mekboyz, and orderlies to Mad Doks. When scaling, be cautious of discrepancies in measurement, as the scale may not accurately reflect reality. A base is necessary for accurate representation, but it will not be included by default.
