I'm still refining the components and they haven't been fully tested yet. Photography has always been my passion. After earning a minor in photography in college but never using it for anything meaningful, I decided to tackle large format photography. The cost of purchasing a camera was out of my budget, so I embarked on a mission to build one myself. I came across several websites offering plans and kits, but never took the plunge. Fast forward six years ago, I stumbled upon Jong Repstad's website at https://jongrepstad.com/building-a-large-format-camera/ and decided to give it a shot. I built all the parts except the sliders before shelving the project due to a job change. I like the plans and appreciate how easy they are to assemble. My only concern was my cutting skills (or lack thereof) and the tools I had at hand, which were limited. After acquiring a 3D printer, I decided to see if I could print one of the sliders instead. This is where I'm currently at, and I'll keep updating my progress as I move forward.
