The grenade is designed to destroy enemy personnel with the high-explosive action of explosives and fragments formed when the metal shell is destroyed. To achieve this goal, the grenade is thrown by hand. Remote action means that the grenade will explode after a certain time (3.2-4.2 seconds) after it is released, regardless of other conditions. The offensive type implies that the grenade fragments have a small mass and fly at a shorter range than the possible throw range. The grenade has an oval body made of thin steel. It consists of an upper and lower part, each including an outer shell and a liner. The fuse hole is closed with a plastic stopper during storage. The mass of the grenade with the fuse is 310 g. The explosive charge weighs 110 grams. The radius of the destructive action of the fragments is 25 meters. The grenade fuse is universal and suitable for RG-42 and F1 grenades as well. The brand of the fuse is UZRG, UZRGM (from the second half of the 1950s), or UZRGM-2. All these fuses are interchangeable. The combat grenade features an olive-grayish color.
