It's based on the French F1 grenade, containing a 60-gram explosive charge (TNT). The total weight of the grenade with the fuze comes in at around 600 grams. Its unique shape earns it the nickname limonka ('little lemon'). Alternatively, it's also known as Efka for the letter F. This Soviet grenade shares similarities with the American Mk2 grenade 'Pineapple grenade', which was ultimately modeled on the French F1.
