To solve this problem, create a small herringbone gear that fits Gregs Wade reloaded extruder perfectly. The initial design had a major flaw - the small gear kept wobbling about on the stepper motor shaft because the shaft was ridiculously short. A simple yet effective fix for this issue is to design a small gear with an extended base, allowing it to overlap better with the motor shaft. Although this isn't a permanent solution and can be considered as a temporary patch, it's definitely better than having your 3D printer grind to a halt while waiting for the correct stepper motor to arrive. The ideal dimensions of this custom-made gear should have a shaft diameter of exactly 5mm.
